Your ring will be more comfortable to wear and will smoothly come on and off a finger better than a regular ring, especially in the case of a snug fitting ring.
A diamond treated titanium ring is very shiny and glossy,
with a slight, very elegant and unusual hint of champagne color.
You will know that your ring has been diamond treated by the existence of two 'witness marks'
on the inside of the ring where it was held during the diamond treatment process.
These tiny spots are the only part of the ring that are not treated.
The main difference between a treated ring and a raw titanium ring is that the surface shine remains with the diamond coated ring long after the raw titanium rings shine
has faded into a dull patina caused by daily wear.
We want to stress the fact that this clear diamond treatment is extremely thin.
Its main advantage is not towards durability; it will help reduce scuffs by about 10%.
However, the incredibly smooth feel and glossy appearance will remain intact for a long time,
much longer in that than an untreated titanium ring.
There are additional benefits with the clear diamond treatment:
-Stone insets (such as clear cubic zirconiums) can be coated along with the rest of the ring,
giving them the same light 'champagne' tint (quite similar in that to the very popular Australian champagne and cognac colored diamonds),
additional brilliance and deeper colors, a genuine gemstone appearance.
This treatment will not affect/mislead diamond testers.
-Precious metal inlays (gold, platinum or mokume-gane) will also be coated along with the rest of the ring , giving additional brilliance as well as tarnish resistance.
Our clear diamond treatment differs from our black diamond treatment in 4 ways mainly:
-Appearance : the clear diamond treatment is transparent with a hint of "champagne" color,
the black diamond treatment is jet black.
-Process : the clear diamond treatment is not the same process than the black diamond treatment.
-Cost : Black diamond treatment costs more than clear diamond treatment.
-Durability : clear diamond treatment is only about 10% more scuff resistant than raw titanium,
black diamond treatment is totally scuff and scratch immune under normal wear conditions .
-Most scuffs that may show up on a clear diamond treated rings surface can be usually buffed out easily and won't remove the original treatment.
